Six Nations 2020 Returns to Twickenham

The Guinness Six Nations 2020 begins this Saturday with Wales vs. Italy at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Known as one of rugby’s most respected international tournaments, the event brings together top teams and fans from across Europe.

Longstanding Support with O2 at Twickenham

The Ann Savva Group has once again partnered with O2 and Peugeot UK to support their presence at this year’s tournament. Thanks to a long-standing relationship with O2, we’ve been involved in event delivery at Twickenham Stadium for several seasons.

O2 has supported England Rugby for over 20 years. Their matchday presence, including The O2 Blueroom, brings added value to fans attending in person or following the action from home.

The O2 Blueroom Experience

The O2 Blueroom is a dedicated area at Twickenham for O2 customers and their guests. Accessed through the O2 Priority app, it offers a mix of entertainment and hospitality. The first 500 guests receive a complimentary pint and pasty, and the space features live player interviews, interactive experiences, and opportunities to engage with the game atmosphere.

Building the Space: Event Logistics and Delivery

Our support begins well before the first match. From our facility in Banbury, we manage pre-event planning, logistics, and equipment. The entire Blueroom setup is packed into five arctic lorries and three vans, then transported to Twickenham for the full build process.

A dedicated team of Event Managers, Riggers, and Operations staff handle the 12-day setup. This includes everything from initial installation through to the final fit-out.

Matchday Staffing and Coordination

On matchday, our team remains on-site to manage all aspects of the Blueroom operation. This includes guest flow, AV production, stage and experience coordination, and pitch-side logistics. Working alongside our internal event team, more than 30 O2 Angels support guests, communicate key messages, and help maintain a positive matchday experience.
